It used to be said that to be successful, it isn’t what you know, it’s who you know. That’s so last century.
Today, it’s not who you know, but who knows you.
Why the change? We all have so much going on in our lives today with so many gadgets, advertising messages, status updates and tweets that’s it’s really difficult to remember anything for more than a few minutes. And it’s the same for your clients.
Think about it – what are the chances of a client remembering you when they need a solution to a problem? Much higher if you’re regularly in touch and keeping yourself front of mind with the client – not so likely if you only contact them once a year to do a business review.
Investing time with your client contact programme will pay off – maybe not today but certainly in the long term.
Remember: “as you sow, so shall you reap”!
